Gareebi Gada
Keteyaa Dookh Bhookh Sa’d Maar, Eh Bhe Daat Teri Daataar.
Whenever somebody asked/requested Mahapurakh Ji that their wishes hadn’t come true, that their requests to Waheguru were unfulfilled,
Mahapurakh Ji would tell them that Waheguru is our mother and father. Like when a small kid would persist on getting something, the mother, knowing better wouldn’t provide that thing to her kid, even though the kid persists. Likewise Waheguru Ji doesn’t fulfil our those wishes which are not good for us.

Once some devotees came and requested Baba Ji that some saints do miracles of sorts, but we have not seen you do something like that, then Mahapurakh Ji told them that showing/displaying of such things is equivalent to becoming a challenger to Waheguru.
Impact Of Parent’s Life on Mahapurakh Ji
Mata Prem Kaur( Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Uppalheriwaale’s mother) felt eternal happiness, by giving away the best clothes in the home like Fulkaaris, blankets, bed sheets, or any other suit/cloth etc to any needy place that needed it more than her, all through her youth after her marriage.
1. Mata ji would always wear simple clothes.
2. Taking out a fraction out of the cereals in the home, Mata ji would feed the birds.
3. She would keep water in earthen pots for the birds.
4. Mata ji would do the Ardaas and perform the Bhog ceremony after cooking up meals, only then would she serve it to her family.
Bhai Dhyaan Singh Majriwaale’s jeewan (life) had a great impact on Baba Kahan Singh Ji’s jeewan. For Baba Kahan Singh’s birthpace was Kakron in district Ropar which was in close proximity to Majri (Bhai Dhyaan Singh’s village). Like Bhai Dhyaan Singh Ji, Baba Kahan Singh Jialso did Sewa of travelling Sangat with after setting in village Uppalheri with utmost enthusiasm.
Mata Prem Kaur Ji would herself grind flour for Sangat. Even today the family is known for this Sewa.
This has been greatly appreciated by Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Sant Giani Kartar Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, and Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.
These selfless services had a great impact on the mind of young (Sant Giani)Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Uppalheriwale.
Mahapurakh Ji would himself encourage and instruct the Sangat for the Sewa of Langar for Fathegarh Sahib’s annual congregation in the remembrance of Sahibzadas.
Whever Mata Prem Kaur Ji would see just-born dog’s puppies in Muhaaraas of maize’s Bands, out of compassion she would return home. She would then return and with Choori made of bread of gram flour, ghee and jagery, and would feed the mother bitch with it, so that she could be able to feed her little puppies.

He used to keep the bastars (clothes ) of Guru Sahib neat and cleaner than his own clothes and more costlier than his own clothes. He used to do the seva of cleaning of Guru ghar of that Nagar with his own hands wherever the Jatha went since Gurughar’s walls were not well cemented (i.e , not permanent ), so Sant ji himself used to remove the extra grown weeds from the roofs
Sant ji learned Santhia of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji ,Guru Nanak Parkash, Gur Partap Suraj Granth and many other Granths, while being in Damdami Taksaal. Besides these, Santji had kaar sewa done of Guru ghar(Gurudwara) at village ,Uppalheri, Distt. Patiala also. During those days even the landlords in villages used to grow tobacco, Sant Jee persuaded them to stop this practice of growing tobacco. Mahanpurkh persuaded everyone who visted for his Darshan towards reading Gurbani and pointedly emphasised that you must earn your livelihood by doing Kirat. All the students that Mahanpurkh Jee taught, are doing their own occupations. All of the students take it as their duty to do Katha and Kirtan and are doing this Seva (service) according to Mahanpurkh jee’s Bachans (orders) of “without taking any money”, i.e free of cost.In coming times for doing Gurmat Parchaar seva, Santji nominated Bhai Pal Singh Ji, Patiala waale as his successor.
